Christmas Elves Visited!!!!

 Katelyn's side of the bedroom needed a little more Christmas Spirit so.... Santa sent his Elves (in the form of Sarah and Melissa) to "Christmasey" it up while she was away at Track practice. ;)  When she got back she found this...

Well I guess she wanted to even out the Christmas spirit or something because Sarah found these hanging above her bed when she got back from dinner.  

I think we are officially decorated and ready for Christmas around here in apt. 217 now! :)

We decided our bathroom needed a little decoration...

Anne of Green Gables Marathon

We had nothing to do today so we had the crazy idea to watch all of the Anne of Green Gables movies.  We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into...

We started the movie at 2:00 in the afternoon and kept it playing straight (no breaks) and it ended at 12:35 in the morning! Equaling 10.5 hours of t.v.

We've all decided that we want to wear our hair like Anne from now on.  We LOVE her volume, all through the movie Kate expressed how extremely jealous she was of her hair. :D

The odd thing was is we all were really loving the movies they were just SO long! We even had pizza delivered to us so we could keep watching.

Yes we know we look pretty stoned...give us a break this was at about 7 hrs of watching!!!

The ending literally brought tears to Katelyn's eyes and we all clapped with joy when it was over. After the t.v. was shut off Cynthia excitedly says "We should watch My Fair Lady"  instantly Sam was on her knees begging her not to turn on the t.v. for a VERY long time. :D

We are now on an Anne of Green Gables fast for the next 10.5 years, a year for every hour we watched it. But we all love Anne with an "e" and are so extremely grateful Gilbert and her ended up together. :)

Roommate Sleepover

We started out the night by going to the Village Inn  to get some food and to buy some delicious PIE!!

Walking out the door to start the rest of the night with the carmel pecan silk supreme pie!

We took all of our mattresses and set them up in the living room and moved all the stuff into the storage room

Once that was completed we played Apples to Apples and Things, it was so much fun and was a great way to remove the stress from the week and just have fun with our girls! :)

Went To Walmart... Came Back With A New Addition To Our Dorm

Sarah, Cynthia and Melissa were looking in the candy isle and came across candy that was marked a little overprice :) I don't think anyone will buy a package of 20 chocolates for 90 bucks...

We picked up a cute scarecrow to hang on our door.  Sarah named her Sally

Cookies+Microwave+3 min.=Burnt

Last night at about 10:00 we all were settling down for the night, just relaxing in our p.j.'s before bed.  Katelyn decided she was hungry and wanted soft warm cookies before bed.  So she decided to microwave a couple of cookies.  Kate obviously cant do two things at once because she was on the phone when she did it and she put 3 minutes in instead of 30 seconds! About 2 minutes and 45 seconds later she went to the microwave and realized it was still cooking.  That is about the time when Sarah (who was in their room) heard screaming...she ran out to find the whole apartment filled with smoke and the boys from two doors down standing around the microwave.  We all grabbed pillows and started fanning the fire alarms praying they wouldn't go off.  By some miracle they didn't end up going off, but nobody was brave enough to open the microwave.  

We waited until this morning to open the microwave to see the damage.  Here is the video:

New Month, New Holiday

The Halloween decorations are done and over with!! Now onto the best two months of the year! :D These are the turkeys we made for our window, we also cut out a bunch of leaves to hang up to start off our thanksgiving decorations :)  Sarah made TOM and Kate made ALBERT.  Which do you like best?? We have come to the conclusion that Tom has better legs and Albert has WAY prettier feathers. hah! Later did we realize that Albert has quite long eye lashes for a boy.... hmmmmm

So to make our dorm feel more like home, we did some traditions that we have done at home.  Every day we can write down something we are grateful for and put it on the wall.  Then by the end f the month our wall will be full of things we are grateful for :)

So far it looks bare... but give it some time and it will look wonderful!
